In this 2 hour workshop we will explore the connection between breath and strength in the practice. So that we can feel more aware of the subtle body and move with more control and grace.
We will begin this practice with an energetic and dynamic flow focusing on ways to build strength & cultivate heat in the body before exploring a number of pranayama techniques.
Pranayama is the measuring, control, and directing of the breath. Pranayama controls the energy (prana) within the body, in order to restore and maintain health. Pranayama (breathing technique) is very important in yoga. It goes hand in hand with the asana practice. In the Yoga Sutra, the practices of pranayama and asana are considered to be the highest form of purification and self-discipline for the mind and the body, respectively.
This workshop is suitable for those with some experience of yoga.
