Having a baby is an amazing time that comes with lots of new challenges, both physically and emotionally.  It can be difficult to make time to nurture your own wellbeing whilst caring for a baby. Postnatal yoga classes give you time to reconnect with your body post pregnancy and birth.  The yoga classes are for mothers but babies can come along too and they are free to make noise, feed, etc without worry.

Classes focus on rebuilding core support by toning the deep abdominal muscles using both postural and breathwork.  Breath-led movements help to ease the aches and pains that can come from pregnancy & life with a baby – all the carrying, nursing and rocking can lead to tightness in the shoulders and neck as well as lower back pain.

These classes aim to help you rebuild your strength, re-energise and help you connect with yourself, as well as other mothers and babies who are all going through the same life changes as you.  It can be a wonderful way to expand your support circle or just enjoy some time for yourself knowing that your baby is there safe alongside you.

It is best to wait until after your 6 week check (though this might be 8 weeks if you had a C-section) before attending the class.

Babies are welcome to come along so no need to worry about childcare!  You are welcome to feed, change or play with your baby any time throughout the class.

No previous yoga experience is needed.

Group sizes are small to ensure each student receives personal attention and a safe practice adapted to your body and needs.
