WORKSHOPS

Workshops are a great way to delve deeper into the yoga practice.  We have more time to explore each theme, explore and ask questions along the way.

Group sizes are small to ensure each student receives personal attention and a safe practice adapted to your body and needs.

Expect a relaxed & playful atmosphere.

Come as you are and do what you can.

Restore & Relax - With Elly Held
Friday - 7.00-8.30pm

26th April // 24th May // 28th June

This workshop will introduce you to the practice of restorative yoga and yoga nidra.

Restorative yoga is a gentle form of yoga that uses props to support the body in various poses. The goal of restorative yoga is to create a deep state of relaxation and allow the body to heal and restore itself.

Yoga nidra is a type of guided meditation that is practised while lying down. It is a powerful tool for relaxation and stress relief, and it can also be used to improve sleep, boost the immune system, and promote overall well-being.

These practices are powerful ways to promote overall well-being and also:

Reduces stress and anxiety

Improves sleep quality

Increases flexibility and range of motion

Strengthens the immune system

No experience necessary. Everyone is welcome

You can join this workshop in-studio only.

Nurture in Nature - A Day Retreat - with Joelle & Nicola
Sunday 12th May - 9.30am - 4pm

We are so excited to offer a day retreat together this Spring – an opportunity to relax, recharge and connect with ourselves and each other.

If we want to feel both physically and mentally well (with less stress and more of the fun stuff life has to offer!) we really do have to slow down and make the space for that sometimes.

Our aim is for this day to provide you with exactly that opportunity.

The plan:

We will meet in the lovely village of Hambledon and begin with a 2-hour circular walk through the rolling Chiltern countryside.

We will then return to our base at Hambledon village hall for an afternoon of mobility and strength work, and well as a yoga practice that is both invigorating and restorative.

The day will be set up to ensure we can both move our bodies with effort and intention, as well as rest deeply.

Fuelling is critical (as always!). And we will do this too, with lunch as well as morning and afternoon refreshment included.

A more detailed itinerary will follow, but our meet time with be 9.30am and we will conclude the day at 4pm.

This event is for ALL women

Sound Meditation - With Chloe Watts
NEW TIME - 6.00-7.30pm
10th May

Sound has been part of our story as humans since the beginning. Gathering around a fire to listen, speak, be heard; to drum, sing, to celebrate and mourn.

The journey of a sound meditation will always be unique and intuitive, it will speak to a part of you that often gets overlooked. The part of us that knows how to feel without words or explanation. The part of us that can see without our eyes. If nothing else it is an opportunity to rest and relax. But often it is so much more.

The Gong is an ancient instrument, dating back to the 6th century. It is a disk-shaped percussion instrument that when struck with a mallet, vibrates and creates a rainbow of sound. Sound has long been forgotten for its healing potency in Western culture but is now becoming recognised again for its place in complementary medicine.

When played skilfully, the rhythm soothes the nervous system and relaxes the brain. A huge spectrum of sound is created by the Gong, and as the layers of sound build, they can be felt by those in a Gong Bath. These vibrations contain profound healing potential. In this relaxed state, energetic blockages are cleared; you may find yourself involuntarily twitching as everything starts to realign to its natural and harmonious state.

What you need to know:
We will start with a gentle simple stretch, guided meditation and some breathwork that seamlessly leads into the savasana with the sound. The sound then melts away to silence for a short time, and the sound of twinkling chimes and Chloe’s voice, maybe even some poetry brings you back to the room. We will ground back into life with a plant based treat.

For those of you looking for an alternative to meditation or relaxation, then a Sound Meditation can be a wonderful experience. As the body is bathed in sound-waves, the vibrational frequencies alter your state of being in a very real and tangible way. Some find the session deeply relaxing; others find it truly moving and that it brings about harmony and peace physiologically, spiritually and mentally.

  • If you are pregnant and have not attended a sound meditation before, it is not advisable to attend.
  • Some mental health conditions are contraindicated to meditation, if unsure please consult your GP first.
